Campillo Reserva Selecta is a red wine from the D.O. La Rioja made by the Campillo winery. This wine is a monovarietal of Tempranillo, the most widely used grape in the region.
Campillo Reserva Selecta was born in the Villa Lucía estate, located at 650 metres above sea level, from where all the grapes necessary for its production come from. The climatology of the region is continental and Atlantic, ideal for growing vines.
After the harvest and already in the facilities of the cellar, the grains are encuban in deposits of 20,000 kilos of capacity. Afterwards, various post-fermentation macerations are carried out for 12 days to achieve the desired tannins and colour.
Campillo Reserva Selecta ultimately rests in American oak barrels for a minimum of 22 months before being aged in the bottle.
Campillo is a winery located in the historic wine town of Laguardia, which belongs to the Faustino Group. Its production of red wines and the use of the Tempranillo variety stand out.
