Wine made from high quality plots located in Rioja Alavesa and harvested manually. After a cold pre-fermentation, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Aging is carried out in new and second-use barrels (French 70% and American 30%) where it remains an average of 22 months. Once in the bottle, the wine ages in the Viña Real cellars for at least a year and a half before going on the market, acquiring roundness and complexity. .
Tasting Notes with special reserve
Medium-high layer of ruby red Bordeaux color, clean and bright with good intensity. On the nose it denotes intense aromas of long persistence. Very ripe red fruit appears well combined with notes from its aging in barrels such as roasted, spicy and smoked. In the mouth, a very well-structured wine is appreciated, those aromas observed on the nose reappear, complex notes of compote fruit and fine oak .
