General information

Alcoholic fermentation that lasts for 15 days followed by long post-fermentation maceration. Subsequently, it remains in first and second year French oak barrels for a minimum of 14 months, followed by a minimum of one year in bottle. It came without treatment or stabilization processes, so it may present some precipitate.

Tasting Notes Aging lathe

Ruby red medium robe with violet rim. Aromas of florals, with expression of red fruits as it opens in the glass. Soft and balsamic memory on the palate, with a marked acidity in the mouth, which makes it a round and appetizing wine.

Located in the South of Monte Yerga, the Finca Cuesta de la Reina is a caralsol hillside that begins at 450 meters of altitude and ascends to 800 meters. Its soils are clay-calcareous, poor and with abundant boulders, it is a farm of more than 120 hectares that has been in the family for four generations and in which the vineyard has always been cultivated. Approximate average age of the vineyards 25 years.After a meticulous monitoring of the vineyard, the grapes are harvested at the optimum moment of maturation.The Tempranillo variety was harvested the first fortnight of October, the Garnacha in mid-October and the Mazuelo the last. week of October and first of November. The harvest is done manually, selecting healthy and ripe grapes, rejecting the raw and deteriorated ones.

Color red tile of good layer. Clean, complex and with good intensity on the nose, aromas of red fruits well combined with those of aging, balsamic, spices (pepper), tobacco and leather. Selection and marking of the strains whose production convinces us. Elaboration in 3500 l tanks. French oak. Cold maceration for 3 days at 9-10ºC, with long pump-overs. On the 4th day the fermentation begins for 15 days at a controlled temperature (25-27ºC) to preserve the primary aromas. After this, it is kept in the tanks, macerating for 6 days with a daily hatching. Malolactic fermentation in barrels. 15 months in new French oak barrels.

Bodegas Perica wants to present its new Wine “Sonrisa de Diana”. An excellent 2012 Reserve of selected grapes from vines over 60 years old, made in French oak vats and aged in French limousine oak barrels. But "Diana's Smile" is much more than a Reserve, since the funds obtained from its sale They will be used to finance the Study-Project against the "Malignant Melanoma" that is being developed by the CIBIR (Center for Biomedical Research in La Rioja) and the Carlos III University of Madrid. An international study that wants to end a disease that kills nearly 48,000 people a year, according to figures from the WHO (World Health Organization) and to which Bodegas Perica wants to do its bit. “Sonrisa de Diana” is an excellent tribute Wine that was born to show solidarity.

Tasting Notes Perica Reserva

Intense red-garnet color, with a high, clean and bright robe. Complex nose, with attractive notes of red and black fruits in perfect harmony with spicy aromas, coffee and cocoa, a consequence of the wine's stay in an excellent French oak. It is pleasant and silky, highlighting the sweetness and fineness of the tannins. In the retronasal route, the spicy notes and ripe fruit appear again. Long and persistent aftertaste.
