Martinez Alesanco Nada que ver 2012
NOTHING THAT SEEING has little in common with the wines to which we are accustomed. A singularity that comes from being the first monovarietal variety on sale since 2004 when we began to elaborate the variety MATURANA TINTA, a minority variety in Rioja, in danger of extinction.
Maturana Ink 100% Maturana
Type of Preparation
A unique and original wine, designed at the foot of the vineyard and elaborated “a la carte”. The Maturana Tinta variety will set a benchmark in the world of wine. It comes from our farm “el Hombo” in Badarán, La Rioja. Planted on a clay-calcareous soil and an altitude of 700m. Fermentation and maceration in 225-litre casks. After a meticulous elaboration and a delicate pressing, the wine is placed in American oak barrels until it is finely tuned, thus seeking the balance and personality of the “terroir”, as well as a subsequent step to new European oak barrels where the malolactic fermentation and ageing will take place.
