Matarromera Reserva 2013
It shows the care and detail with which Matarromera makes the ageing in barrel and the ageing in bottle. The Tempranillo grapes with which it is made are pampered from the moment it is born in the vine until it reaches the winery. During alcoholic fermentation, the elegant strength of the Matarromera is extracted in the mouth using the delestage technique.
Matarromera Reserva is matured under these natural conditions in 225 liters of American oak barrels from Missouri, Ohaillo, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota. They are new barrels, fine-grained and medium toasted, with a capacity of 225 litres. Complex red wine, silky and very elegant. Made with 100% Tempranillo grapes and aged for 18 months in American and French oak barrels. It is dominated by black and red fruit tones in harmony with a multitude of aromas of ageing; spices, black pepper, minerals, liquorice, lactones and pipe tobacco with a background of dark chocolate. Highly coated, excellent dark cardinal tone. Its elegant skeleton of sweet tannins combines body and refinement; a multitude of aromas well combined with a medium acidity. Long finish, harmonious, elegant and persistent in the mouth.
