Sample of the care and detail with which Matarromera is aged in barrels and aged in bottles. The Tempranillo grape with which it is made is pampered from the moment it is born in the vine until it reaches the winery. During the alcoholic fermentation, the elegant force that the Matarromera Reserva has in the mouth is extracted with the delestage technique. Matarromera Reserva 2013 is aged under these natural conditions in 225-liter American oak barrels from Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota. They are new, fine-grained, medium-roasted barrels with a 225-liter capacity. Red made with 100% Tempranillo grapes and aged for 18 months in American and French oak barrels
Tasting Notes Matarromera reserve
Visual phase: Intense and raised layer of purple tones with a slight cherry trim.
Olfactory phase: Elegant, intense and very complex. Acid black fruit, cherry, blackberry and currant, among more mature black fruit such as blackberry, in harmony with complex aging tones, clove and black pepper spices, fine woods, fine roasted notes, licorice and black cocoa, with a mineral touch. Good structure with an intense skeleton of sweet tannins.
Gustatory phase: Excellent complexity of flavors with ripe black fruit, balsamic sensations of aromatic plants, roasted new wood, lactone sweet and pepper and licorice spices. Velvety, long and very elegant finish.
