This wine is made from grapes from our best vineyards in Rioja Alta. The date of harvest is determined with periodic analysis and tasting of the grapes, indicators of the optimum state of ripeness. After careful selection in the vineyard and in the winery, the grapes are transferred to oak vats where the alcoholic fermentation takes place. The devatting is carried out in new French oak barrels where the malolactic fermentation takes place and its subsequent ageing, during 18 months.
Tasting Notes Muga Crianza
High vividness and chromatic intensity. Bigarreau cherry colour with purple reminiscences in the meniscus. In nose it emphasizes its aromatic potential appearing the mature fruits of the forest predominating the blackberries and also appearing floral notes to violet that are intermingled with those coming from the fine wood like the coffee, chocolates and balsamic. In mouth it has a powerful entrance but with a smooth step marked by a kind and silky tannin, that provides us with a amplitude in the retronasal that allows us to continue enjoying the wine for a long time. In the glass it evolves, expanding its aromatic variety. The pairing is very broad, ranging from mere tasting to any kind of meat, including game.
