The Tempranillo from vineyards over 40 years old, selected in the Rioja Alta area (Haro, Villalba, Foncea) and the Mazuelo variety comes from our “Viña Lanciano” farm, located in El Cortijo.
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature with prolonged maceration to ensure adequate extraction of all the aromatic potential and tannins.

A fresh and elegant grape, with a remarkable aptitude for aging, together with the good weather that throughout the cycle, favored the excellent vegetative and sanitary state of the vineyard, allowed a correct maturational balance to be achieved in all the vineyards, at which made an exceptionally favorable month of September decisively for the production of high-quality wines. The vineyard Calcareous and fresh soils of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, plots of Gallomate, San Martín and La Rad. Old vineyards between 25 and 80 years old, in glass, of limited production and small grapes. A peculiar and excellent soil for an austere vineyard in an almost mountain climate. The wine CM is a race wine of the Tempranillo variety, from San Vicente de la Sonsierra (Rioja). These vineyards between 25 and 80 years old are located in the highest area of the Sonsierra, with a production between 3,000 and 5,000 kg per hectare. Intense and lively cherry color. Clean and bright on the nose, its barrel notes stand out (smoked) that give way to ripe sour fruits (raspberries and strawberries). On the palate it has very good structure, notable acidity and good balance with a predominance of elegant toasted notes.

Located in the South of Monte Yerga, the Finca Cuesta de la Reina is a caralsol hillside that begins at 450 meters of altitude and ascends to 800 meters. Its soils are clay-calcareous, poor and with abundant boulders, it is a farm of more than 120 hectares that has been in the family for four generations and in which the vineyard has always been cultivated. Approximate average age of the vineyards 25 years.After a meticulous monitoring of the vineyard, the grapes are harvested at the optimum moment of maturation.The Tempranillo variety was harvested the first fortnight of October, the Garnacha in mid-October and the Mazuelo the last. week of October and first of November.
