Made only from exceptional harvests.
Elaborated from twelve hectares of vineyards selected on the basis of four main characteristics:- Age of the plantation over forty years.
Varieties: Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano. Low productivity Ownership of suppliers of the house and reputed as good farmers.
The harvest begins late, once complete maturity has been reached. Vinified in small tanks at temperatures of up to 35º C.
The malolactic degradation takes place in new oak barrels with subsequent aging on lees and periodic batonnages.
Ageing takes place in first wine barrels with at least one racking and for at least 18 months.
Prior to bottling and in order to preserve its peculiar expressiveness, this wine is naturally decanted without the use of clarifying products. The permanence in our bottle racks is always more than 18 months.
The quality of the fruit and the process described above have given rise to a surprisingly whole wine that has retained its youthful characteristics.
At first glance, its deep, dark layer is visible, streaked with ruby shimmering. The nose highlights the delicate balance between youth and aging. The wine opens with aromas of red fruits such as cherry and raspberry that melt with smoky and spicy notes.
Month by month, the aromas have become more complex and we predict a slow evolution in the bottle.
The mouth is wide and powerful. Confirming the best expectations, it is prolonged after swallowing the wine in a soft, rounded sensation in which volume is the clearest impression.
