After its fermentation passes through aged, between wood and bottle, of five years, hence the name of the wine Valbuena 5 °. French and American, wooden barrels of 225 litres new and used, vats of 20,000 litres… A long and complex process for a great wine.
It has an intense color red Bordeaux edged the Cardinals. Nose: Powerful Aromas of fruit perfectly ripe strawberries, currants, blueberries… combined with aromas of fine oak and not dominant. Balsamic touches typical of the terroir of Vega Sicilia. And in the mouth: characteristic of the 2009 vintage in the mouth is the one of the contained power, i.e. power for being generous and contained year because despite having a high specific weight, it is completely velvet. The level of maturity of tannins is very high resulting in long and unguents mouths.
