VINEYARDS A selection of vineyards typical of the Briones terroir, Rioja Alta, with an average age of between 15 and 20 years, cultivated in soil with a marked clay-ferrous profile.
HARVEST Manual. All the grapes are kept in cold storage for 36 hours before being processed on a sorting table. The harvest began in early October.
ELABORATION After a gentle crushing, the must is encubated by gravity in small French oak vats where it ferments and macerated in contact with the skins at a maximum controlled temperature of 28 °C, receiving light pumping over for 20 days.
MALOLACTIC FERMENTATION In small French oak vats.
AGEING 16 months in French and American oak barrels, with periodic racking and a minimum of 6 months in bottle rack.
THE BOTTLE Our bottle is inspired by an original 18th century wine from the Vivanco Museum of Wine Culture.
TASTING NOTE Bright cherry colour. Intense aromas of ripe fresh fruit, with spicy and liquorice notes, accompanied by elegant toasted and smoky aromas. On the palate it is fresh and sweet-toothed, with an elegant, persistent and well-balanced aftertaste.
