Characteristics

Fermentation in 100 Hl French oak vats at temperatures of 28º to 30ºC for 8 days, after maceration for another 7 days, the malolactic fermentation took place in new French oak barrels and the ageing was kept in 90% French and 10% Hungarian oak, 100% new, for 15 months, completed with a one-year bottle reduction process.
Year with low rainfall throughout the vegetative cycle, but has been well distributed in the critical phases of cultivation, within the average of the last four years. Autumn and winter are preceded by mild, frosty, non-severe temperatures in January and February. Warm spring and summer The budding has been early, starting on March 20, flowering on May 29, the beginning of fruit set on June 3 and July 17 the beginning of veraison in the earliest and least productive plots of tempranillo, case of San Gregorio Grande, Bartolo and Lentisco. A healthy harvest that begins on September 18. 456,005 kgs. of red grape and 12,850 kgs. of white grape are elaborated in Contino. Finishing just at the beginning of the autumn rains (14/10/6) with some botrytis outbreaks on the last two days.
