The grapes for this winecome from a single selection of vinesin the centre of the Finca El Estanquevineyard, a 60-hectare vineyardowned by the winery in the best areasof Haro. These particular vines are 40years old on average and from theshallow chalky soils that produceexcellent and healthy grapes.
Hand picked into smallcases. 9th October.
After gentle and partial destemming and pressing, the Viura juice fermentson the skins for around 12 hours before being run off and then fermenting at around12º C-14º C, a process which begins in the tank and is completed in the barrel.
24 months on its lees in acombination of American and Frenchoak barrels with gentle batonnage inthe first few months, then a further 6months ageing in bottle beforerelease.
Straw yellow withgolden hints. Aromas of white fruit,citrus, mineral, honey and butter. Wellrounded, fleshy fruit as well as alively, crisp, luscious and complexfinish.
