Montes Obarenes, facing south, a terroir of high quality recognized. The grapes are fermented in 100 hectoliter oak barrels without temperature control or yeast addition. The maceration period is between 16 and 20 days. The wine is aged for 12 months in 160 hectolitre American oak barrels, followed by a minimum of 36 months in barrels, usually of French oak. At the end of the ageing period, the wine is lightly clarified with fresh egg whites before being bottled and kept in our cellars for at least another 36 months,in order to complete the aging process.

Tasting Notes Prado Enea

In nose it is delicate and fresh, in first impression it reminds us of red fruits (type blackberry), notes of spices type cinnamon and toasted touch of upbringing reminding us of cedar, shades of vanilla in branch and leaves of autumn. After 16 months in American oak deposits and 36 months in mainly French oak barrels, we appreciate a very well worked and integrated wood. in mouth it is fresh, long, with a very integrated acidity; the tannin begins to polish and makes it delicious and elegant. It is a wine that can be paired with stews, meats and even enjoyed as a glass.
