85% Tempranillo and 15% Graciano, the result of a selection of vines from 40 to 60 years old located in our "Viña Lanciano" estate. Hand-picked and subsequently selected on selection tables by cluster and by grain so that only those that are in perfect condition they manage to go to the next phase in the elaboration. Alcoholic fermentation in small frustoconical deposits to guarantee maximum color extraction. Malolactic fermentation in new very fine grain French oak barrels from the Tronçais and Jupille forests. AGING: In new very fine grain French oak barrels from the Tronçaisy and Allier forests for 24 months. Subsequently, it remains for 20 months in the bottle, refining its aromas and rounding out its palate.Culmen Tasting Notes
Ripe cherry color, bright and very covered. Very complex and elegant nose, highlights the notes of red fruit in liquor, blackberries, along with notes of pastry and balsamic. Violet type floral aromas. Spicy touches of nutmeg and cinnamon, with some smoked notes. Mineral hints are also appreciated, due to the nature of the soil of our “Viña Lanciano” estate. A multitude of sensations explode in the mouth. Very structured, silky, with great body. Leave a pleasant memory for a very long time. This wine is the fruit of the selection of three grape varieties: Tempranillo 85%, Graciano 10% and Garnacha 5%. The harvest was carried out manually by own personnel, selecting all the bunches first in the vineyard and then on the selection table in the cellar.The selected bunches were subjected to mechanical destemming in a stainless sieve and soft squeezing using rubber rollers to break the grain. . Fermented in “Allier” wooden vats for 11 days at a temperature between 24º and 28ºC, it remained in the presence of the skins for another 20 days, obtaining a structured wine with noble tannin that will lead to a long life of our wine. Aged for 18 months in new French and American oak barrels, it remained in storage for a few months until bottling, and afterwards, before leaving the market, it remained for 18 months resting in our bottle rack.Tasting Notes 200 Monges reserve
Cherry red, garnet rim. Aroma of red fruits (cherry, raspberry). Very fine oak, brown, chocolate. Powerful, spicy, tasty, complex, balanced, long and persistent on the palate. We recommend uncorking and decanting between 30 and 45 minutes before, in order to appreciate its full aromatic potential. 54,680 bottles of 0.75l, 1,200 magnums have been selected from this wine of 1.50l and 120 double magnum of 3l.
