Between 10 and 20% of the total, it performs malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels, with periodic batonage. It stays 24 months in American and French oak barrels, ending its stay in wood with 3 more months in French oak vats. Finally, it remains a minimum of 12 months in the bottle before its commercialization. Although it is a typical reserve wine, it also has modern characteristics, with more body and fruit than its brother, Solar de Líbano. In it, the wood remains in the background, well integrated with the fruit. We only make this wine on average 7 years out of 10.
Tasting Notes Castillo de Sajazarra reserve
Intense cherry, with garnet tones. Of great varietal expression, with ripe fruit and mineral nuances. In the mouth it is round, fatty, voluptuous, with ripe tannins. Long and persistent.
