Made with grapes 98% Tinta del País, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. It has been produced from 25 to 30 days at a temperature between 28º-30º and aged for 16 months in French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels, in its most new. Complete the aging with a year and a half of rest in the bottle.
Tasting Notes Tarsus
Intense cherry red color. Aromas of ripe black fruit, coffee and mineral spices, elegant and deep. With smoky and toasted notes. On the palate it is sweet, voluminous, expressive with a polished and well integrated tannin, and a pleasant and persistent finish.

General informationThis wine is the fruit of the selection of three grape varieties: Tempranillo 85%, Graciano 10% and Garnacha 5%. The harvest was carried out manually by own personnel, selecting all the bunches first in the vineyard and then on the selection table in the cellar.The selected bunches were subjected to mechanical destemming in a stainless sieve and soft squeezing using rubber rollers to break the grain. . Fermented in “Allier” wooden vats for 11 days at a temperature between 24º and 28ºC, it remained in the presence of the skins for another 20 days, obtaining a structured wine with noble tannin that will lead to a long life of our wine. Aged for 18 months in new French and American oak barrels, it remained in storage for a few months until bottling, and afterwards, before leaving the market, it remained for 18 months resting in our bottle rack.
Tasting Notes 200 Monges reserveCherry red, garnet rim. Aroma of red fruits (cherry, raspberry). Very fine oak, brown, chocolate. Powerful, spicy, tasty, complex, balanced, long and persistent on the palate. We recommend uncorking and decanting between 30 and 45 minutes before, in order to appreciate its full aromatic potential. 54,680 bottles of 0.75l, 1,200 magnums have been selected from this wine of 1.50l and 120 double magnum of 3l. General informationOrigin: Made from the selection of Tempranillo varieties from places chosen for generations in Rioja Alta, in the municipality of Fuenmayor.Vinification: Fermented with whole grapes and natural decantation, for subsequent aging in large wooden barrels for several years. Finally, it finishes its aging process in the bottle, where it will remain a minimum of one year before being marketed.

The grapes come from the oldest vineyards between 80 and 100 years old from the “Cuesta la Reina” estate owned by the family for four generations. The manual harvest was carried out in the month of October. No pumping system was used in the process, only gravity to avoid damaging the fruit.
The fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts from the vineyard itself, controlling the temperature at 30ºC. The total duration of the maceration was 32 days. Once uncovered, the wine was transferred to French Allier and Romanian oak barrels, where it was racked 5 times. It was bottled in June (2 years later), remaining in the bottle for 12 months before being put on sale.

Very covered cherry red color. Fine aromas and elegant creamy toasted aromas and ripe fruit, with a lot of expression and complexity. In the mouth it is powerful, fleshy and round, very rich in nuances, complex and elegant aftertaste.
