Honorio Rubio Añadas is a white wine made in the DOCa Rioja by Honorio Rubio La Rioja. Honorio Rubio is a winery located in the Rioja Alta sub-area. It has 15 hectares of vineyards distributed by the town of Cordovin. The main varieties are Tempranillo, Garnacha and Viura.Honorio Rubio Vintages are made from the mixture of several vintages. The wine is aged for 5 years in 225-liter barrels in the classic style of the area. Honorio Rubio has begun to elaborate these limited productions in order to rehearse with the ancestral methods of elaboration that have existed throughout the years.

Elaboration: The harvest is done manually, using small trailers of 1,500kg. Due to the proximity of the winery, the transport time is minimal, thus avoiding oxidation. Once in the winery, the grapes were destemmed and a gentle pressing was carried out, then the must was cooled to 14ºC and left for 48 hours, at which time a settling was carried out to clean the must. The fermentation was carried out at a controlled temperature, starting at 14ºC and ending at 17.5ºC, a process that lasted three weeks. After this process, the wine was sulphited but it was kept on its lees for a month, obtaining a greater volume in the mouth, at which time it was racked and cold stabilized in order to be bottled.

Tasting Notes Muñarrate

Bright, straw-white color Nose: Fresh, intense. Without moving, hints of freshly cut hay, when moving, nuances of fennel and laurel appear, with a mineral background, accompanied by hints of citrus. Mouth: The first impression is of kindness, unctuous, glyceric, with multiple flavors of white fruit, pear. The aftertaste is happy, with a refreshing finish. The only Château outside the Médoc included in the red wine classification of 1855. The first written mention of this vineyard dates from 1423. But its development really began when Jean de Pontac married, in 1525, Jeanne de Belloy, who Bring a part of Haut Brion as a dowry. In 1550 he ordered the construction of the building, which initially consisted of 4 towers and a chapel. But one of the towers and the chapel were destroyed years later. He was married three times, had a son at 76 and died at 101. Armand de Pontac, one of his successors, puts into practice new forms of winemaking such as barrel filling or racking, in order to ensure that his wines improve over the years. Another of his heirs was Franqois-Delphin d'Auléde, first a baron and later Marquis de Margaux, who was also the owner of Château Margaux.

Viura grapes from Finca Iscorta planted more than 50 years ago, harvested by hand in 15-kilo boxes to avoid any type of breakage, oxidation or fermentation prior to entering the winery. Next, they go through a selection table where those that do not exceed the highest quality are eliminated, thus achieving that the grains arrive whole to the press. Once in the press, and after a smooth draining, we obtain a must with great complexity that will end up in new American oak barrels, where it will carry out the alcoholic fermentation for a month, receiving daily battonages to obtain a well-structured wine. After fermentation and after a racking, it will remain 2 more months in the same barrel before being bottled to achieve the desired balance between fruit and wood.

Tasting Notes Chobeo fermented in barrel

Clean in color and bright, straw yellow with golden reflections. The tropical fruit that predominates over the toasted ones stands out. Complexity of aromas, honey, banana, pineapple in combination with scrubland. In the mouth it is unctuous, creamy, white fruit with cereal points, light acidity, long and enveloping aftertaste. Tasting Notes Dioro baco blanco

It has a subtle lemon color, with green reflections. Aromas with good intensity with fine toasted notes in the foreground, which give way to fresh and honeyed fruit, pear, pineapple, apricot and citrus. Pleasant mid palate thanks to its good balance, it will gain complexity with the passage of time in the bottle. White wine appropriate not only for aperitifs but throughout the entire meal. Viura and Muscat variety of small grain. Its elaboration is carried out separately, that is, we ferment the muscat and viura in different tanks after a few hours prior to cold maceration, and then proceed to its assembly. It is the first wine that we develop, from the white Tempranillo variety. The origin of it is found in the genetic mutation of a single Tempranillo Tinto strain found in 1988 in an old vineyard located in Murillo de Río Leza, La Rioja. The development of this variety was part of the Research Project for the recovery of indigenous minority grape varieties in the DOCa.Rioja, carried out at the University of La Rioja and directed by professors Juan Carlos Sancha and Fernando Martínez de Toda. The Rioja Regulatory Council approved the inclusion of this variety in the Denomination of Origin in 2007.
Tasting Notes White Tempranillo
Tasting Notes: Notes of green apple, citrus and pineapple on the nose stand out. In the mouth it is voluminous and glyceric, acid and fresh, with abundant structure and enormous persistence.
