Made exclusively with red grapes of the Mazuelo variety, after receiving the grapes, they are de-stemmed and the must is separated from the skin, thus extracting the essence, the first must. This essence is introduced into a concrete tank to carry out the alcoholic fermentation slowly, at a controlled temperature of 10ºC. It does not undergo malolactic fermentation. After fermentation, it coexists with its fine lees for 40 days, giving it density.

Back in 1860, our great-grandparents Manuel Fernández and Ismael Ábalos, cultivated their vineyards in San Asensio. With the fruit of their work, they made a wine that they consumed as a family but also sold in "skins" in the same town and surroundings. Already at the beginning of the last century our maternal grandfather Pablo, continued the tradition, buying one of the first tractors to work in La Rioja, the “Allgaier Porsche”. For his part, the paternal grandfather Florentino, built a small winery, increased production and took the great step from the skin to the bottle. This allowed it to expand the sale to neighboring communities.

Tasting Notes Señorío de Villarrica Rosé

Traditional wine from the town of San Asensio, notes of pear and apple, provided by the Viura and some red fruits, especially raspberry provided by the Garnacha. Make a cold prefermentation (around 10ºc) overnight. Then, we collect the tear must obtained from the pressure of the light pressing, simply exerted by gravity. It ferments in a stainless steel tank at a controlled temperature of 13ºC to 16ºC.

The grapes are manually harvested in small 12kg boxes that were refrigerated and transported to the winery where they remained in a cold environment for 12 hours. Then they went through the optical selection table, obtaining the best selection of some shelled grapes, whole "berries" and in perfect condition. Later they were taken to the press, where in an inert and cold environment, the pressing process began, obtaining only the flower must. This is kept in the stable process for 3 days with all its pluses. After this time it is racked by gravity. After 24 h of decantation, the clean must is racked in the absence of air, to start alcoholic fermentation in concrete tanks where the evolution of temperature will be controlled throughout the process, once the sugars are consumed the wine will be in contact with its most fine for 4 months.

Although we have explored a lot, in Vintae we never lose sight of our land because here, in Rioja, we have learned almost everything we know.With Bodega Hacienda López de Haro we wanted to recover the authentic essence of Rioja, its fine wines, the classics that They made this region great because they represented elegance, but if we wanted to create contemporary wines, it was not enough to look at tradition. For this reason, in the Hacienda López de Haro collection, the historical Riojan finesse joins the personality of the excellent quality grape from our old vineyards to create authentic contemporary classics.To locate our winery we chose the historic town of San Vicente de la Sonsierra , in the heart of the DOCa Rioja, flanked to the north by the Sierra Cantabria and to the south by the river Ebro. The microclimate of the area and its clay-calcareous soils generate the perfect conditions for the vineyard.

Tasting Notes Hacienda López de Haro rosé

Appearance: Very pale salmon, with coppery hues and light grayish hues in the rim. Nose: Floral and citrus notes accompanied by fresh pome fruits and a background of orange peel. Preparation: The harvest takes place first thing in the morning, when temperatures are still low. In the winery, the grapes are gently de-stemmed and crushed, followed by a 72-hour maceration until the desired color is obtained, during which time no sulfur gas is added or the tank is remounted to obtain a clean must without need to unleash. After these hours the pink must is bled, beginning the fermentation at a temperature of 16º C. The fermentation lasts almost a month after which the wine is racked and sulphited.

Tasting Notes Muñarrate rosé

Bright color with a medium layer salmon hue, even a little onion, very pleasant and refreshing. Nose: Fresh aromas, the first impression is of hints of aromatic herbs, floral with hints even of sweet roots. Strawberry bottoms, very friendly and intense. Mouth: In the attack it is complete and fresh but friendly and tasty. With lots of fruit, strawberries, red currant, passion fruit. In the retronasal it is long, light, but deep in the last flavors.
