We have already entered autumn dates and the days of cold and rain begin. Bad weather
It limits our weekend plans, but it is precisely a perfect season to do
a visit to one of the many wine museums that there is throughout the peninsula.
Accompanied by your family or friends, enjoy a perfect day in one of the four
wine museums that we propose below:

1.Vivanco Museum of Wine Culture (La Rioja)

Located in the small town of Briones, it is considered one of the best museums
of the wine of the world. Throughout its 4000 m2 we have a universal vision of relevance
that wine has had in all cultures throughout history. Highly recommended to see
also its impressive collection of barrels, bottles and corks, which will delight
the smallest. As a complement to the museum we can also visit its cellar.

2. Txakolí Museum (Bizkaia)

The Txakoligunea or Txakoli museum, is located at the entrance of Bakio, a beautiful municipality of
the Biscayan coast and a benchmark in the production of this wine. The visitor will be able to know, with the
help from large format audiovisuals, all the secrets of making this wine and
how it can influence health. Also as a colophon we will receive some basic notions of
tasting, with tasting of a glass of Bakio txakoli included.

3. Provincial wine museum (Valladolid)

The third museum that we propose cannot be located in a better location. The castle of
Peñafiel, declared a national historical monument, has housed a museum since 1999 that
allows to know the enological wealth of the province of Valladolid with its denominations of
origin: Tierra de León, Ribera de Duero, Cigales, Toro and Rueda. Touring its rooms you can
know all the ins and outs of the long and complex winemaking.

4. Wine Tower Museum (Ciudad Real)

The last visit that we propose you is in the La Mancha town of Socuéllamos. I know
It is a modern museum in which we can learn about characteristics, history,
making and preserving wine. It has a permanent exhibition of photographs and
tillage tools, plus a tasting room. But without a doubt one of the things that
you will like it will be going up to its incredible panoramic viewpoint from where to contemplate all the
city and the La Mancha countryside.

Prepare your getaway and enjoy one of the wine museums that we have suggested and not
forget to leave your experience winelover in our comments.
