Year rated as very good by the Rioja Regulatory Council. Despite suffering a slight frost in mid-April and a hail storm in early July that caused some damage in "Viña Tondonia", the harvest obtained in the 2006 vintage in all the vineyards of our House was slightly higher than that of 2005.
As in the year 2005, in 2006 there was an advance in the sprouting of the vineyard that was maintained throughout the vegetative cycle, until the harvest that began on September 25 in "Viña Gravonia" with the white varieties, the day October 2 at "Viña Tondonia" for red varieties.
The harvesting of the grapes proceeded normally despite the light, but persistent rains that fell throughout those days and that had no negative impact on the quality of the harvest, which for us was very good, thanks to the excellent Sanitary state in which the bunches arrived at that time The grape entered the winery very healthy, with an average degree of 12.8, very balanced and with a good concentration of coloring matter, characteristics that are essential to make wines with a vocation for aging. as are all of our House.
